Description: Candidates for the position of Staff Accountant should have a mastery of accounting principles. Prior experience with private equity and investment partnership accounting is a plus.

The key responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:

• Recording all accounting transactions of the fund and ensuring all investments are booked accurately
  
• Calculations of capital calls and distributions and preparation of notices for dissemination to investors
  
• Maintaining fund contribution and distribution records
  
• Preparing monthly closing of fund books and underlying records
  
• Reconciling fund bank and investment accounts
  
• Initial preparation of financial statement and partner capital account statement drafts

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  
• Minimum of 1+ years experience in Accounting or Finance – familiarity with private equity funds or hedge funds a plus
  
• Understanding of partnership agreements preferred
  
• Experience with any of the following systems is preferable, but not necessary: INVESTRAN; PORTIA; ADVENTPARTNER; MSHARE; SUN ACCOUNTS; MS OFFICE
  
• Ability to plan and prioritize to ensure efficient and timely deliverables to clients
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  
• Team player

Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience
