Quadrangle Appoints Managing Principal

New York-Based alternative investment firm Quadrangle Group has appointed Gordon Holmes as a managing principal in the firm's private equity team, effective Nov. 21. The p.e. group invests in media and telecommunications companies.

Most recently, Holmes was a general partner at Forstmann Little & Co., where his responsibilities included sourcing, due diligence and negotiation of investment opportunities within the media and communications industry. Prior to joining Forstmann Little in 1998, Holmes worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Singapore, New York and London.

Quadrangle Group currently has more than $4 billion in assets under management, and its p.e. arm, Quadrangle Capital Partners, has invested over $1 billion to date.
