Ex-Morgan Stanley Prime Brokerage Exec. Joins UBS

Dec 18 2009 | 11:13am ET

Former Morgan Stanley U.S. prime brokerage chief Patrick Mortimer has joined UBS.

Mortimer will serve as senior relationship manager at the Swiss bank’s prime brokerage, a newly-created position. He’ll work closely with John Laub, who heads U.S. prime brokerage at UBS, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Mortimer resigned from Morgan Stanley in March after 20 years at the firm. Moving to UBS reunites him with Stuart Hendel, the former Morgan Stanley prime brokerage chief who left the firm to take the same job at UBS earlier this year.
