Prime Capital has added a well-regarded hedge fund expert as a strategist to build its alternative investments business.

Alexander Ineichen will lend his expertise to the German investment banking and asset management firm. He will continue to helm his own hedge fund research firm, Ineichen Research and Management, which he founded last year. Ineichen was senior investment office for alternative investment solutions and head of industry research at UBS until April.

At Prime Capital, Ineichen will serve as a senior strategist, a new post. He’ll work on the development of new alternative strategies, as well as commodities, energy and credit.

“We are delighted that Alexander Ineichen, a most noted expert for alternative investments and derivatives, will join Prime Capital. We are confident that his renowned expertise will be a valuable asset for our clients,” Wolfgang Stolz, founder of Prime Capital, said.
