David Cantillon, for the past two years the head of Goldman Sachs’ European prime brokerage sales, is to join Morgan Stanley to lead its European prime brokerage, the firm said.

Cantillon—a 12-year Goldman veteran—joins Morgan Stanley in London in April as a managing director. He takes over from acting head Warren Holmes, who the firm says will remain on the European prime brokerage team in a “senior role.”

In his new role, Cantillon will report to both Derek Bandeen, head of European equities, and Stu Hendel, global head of prime brokerage.
