Oxford’s Berg Joins Welsh Carson

Private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe has added Charles Berg as a senior operating officer. Berg joins the firm in New York after a stint as president and CEO of Oxford Health Plans, a health management organization.

“Chuck brings with him outstanding experience and industry knowledge in one of our principal investment areas and will provide valuable assistance in maximizing the performance of our healthcare companies,” Welsh Carson general partner Paul Queally said.

Berg’s new role will include searching for and evaluating investment opportunities and deal structuring.
