WebMD Exec Joins Vestar

Vestar Capital Partners has made former WebMD CEO Roger Holstein a permanent member of its team. Holstein joins as a managing director after six months as a senior adviser to the New York-based private equity firm.

“I have enjoyed serving the firm as a senior adviser over the past several months, and I am delighted to continue working with the Vestar team to identify new investment opportunities in the healthcare, media, internet and consumer sectors,” Holstein said.

Vestar was founded in 1988 and invests in companies with valuations in the $100 million to $5 billion range. The firm currently manages funds totaling approximately $7 billion and has offices in New York City, Denver, Boston, Paris, Milan and Tokyo.
