Tesla Motors Lands New $82.5 Million Investment

California-based electric car maker Tesla Motors has raised $82.5 million in private equity, led by new investor Fjord Capital Partners of London and including return investors Daimler, Aabar Investments and unnamed backers.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the funding round at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
