NASDAQ OMX and Clean Edge Launch Smart Grid Index

The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc and cleantech research firm Clean Edge, Inc. have launched a Smart Grid Infrastructure Index, a new benchmark for the smart grid and electric infrastructure sector.

A modified market-capitalization index, it includes companies primarily involved in electric grid; electric meters, devices and networks; energy storage and management; and enabling software used by the smart grid and electric infrastructure sector.
