Smart Grid Co. GridPoint Acquires ADMMicro

Smart grid solutions company GridPoint has acquired ADMMicro, a provider of energy management systems to the commercial and industrial sector, for an undisclosed amount.

Virginia-based ADMMicro’s energy management and submetering systems automatically monitor and control energy consumption, including high-load systems such as HVAC and lighting. The company’s clients include public sector organizations and leading national retail, pharmacy, and restaurant chains.

GridPoint says it will leverage the combined expertise in data analytics, user interface design and energy management to provide significant benefit to both producers and consumers of electricity.

GridPoint’s investors include Skypoint Capital, BDC Venture Capital, Advantage Capital Partners, Altira Group, Contango Capital Partners, Goldman Sachs, New Enterprise Associates, Perella Weinberg Partners, Robeco, Susquehanna, Quercus Trust and Craton Equity Partners.
