Capstone Adds Merrill Hedge Fund Replication Specialist

New York-based Capstone Holdings Group has hired hedge fund replication expert Heiko Ebens to lead its research team.

Ebens was most recently at Merrill Lynch, where he spent the past seven years. At Merrill, he was a managing director and head of global equities derivatives research, leading the effort to build a structured-product platform that raised more than $13 billion.

At Capstone, Ebens will serve as global head of research.

“Drastic changes in volatility have brought our expertise to the fore, and the need to produce high-quality idea generation and product offerings is paramount,” Capstone CEO Paul Britton said. “We are very excited to have Heiko join us as it marks a significant step forward in the scope of service that we can provide to clients.”
