3i Establishes U.S. Capital Growth Team

U.K.-based private equity behemoth 3i has recruited nine professionals to form its new U.S. Growth Capital team, and has opened an office in New York to spearhead its growth activities in this country.

The founding partners of 3i U.S. Growth Capital are Robin Marshall, a managing director of the U.K business; Whitney Bower, formerly of Bain Capital Ventures, Geocapital Partners and TA Associates; and Ken Hanau, formerly of Haylard Capital and Weiss, Peck & Greer.
