Man Vet Joins Altegris

Kirk Strawn, head of intermediary sales at Man Investments, has been named national director of strategic relationships at Altegris.

In his new role, Strawn is charged with building the La Jolla, Calif.-based firm’s relationships with registered investment advisers, trust companies, third-party asset managers and broker-dealers.

“We are pleased to have Kirk direct our strategic relationships team and focus on serving the key account requirements of wealth management firms,” CEO Jon Sundt said. “Kirk's insight and knowledge gained from over 20 years of experience reinforces our commitment to the advisory community and singular focus on alternatives.”

Strawn spent eight years at Man, helping build and manage its national intermediary network. He also boasts stints at ING Furmal Selz Capital Management and at Lehman Brothers, where he focused on institutional accounts, hedge funds and private investors.
