Hedge fund administrator Opus Fund Services has opened its sixth office to focus on hedge funds on the U.S. West Coast.
Opus’ new San Francisco office will initially focus on client relationship management and business development. The Bermuda-based fund already boasts offices in New York and Chicago, as well as in the U.K. and Cayman Islands.
Greg Knapp will head the new office as director of West Coast sales. He joined Opus from Financial Interactive, and has done stints at administrators Conifer Securities and Spectrum Global Fund Administration.
“Fund administration is rapidly becoming a critical component in the relationship between managers, their investors and their capital raising efforts," Stephen Giannone, Opus president, said. "Our new San Francisco office is an exciting opportunity to continue to develop the Opus brand directly into the West Coast market.”
