Sprott Adds Fixed-Income Manager

Canadian hedge fund Sprott Asset Management has hired an award-winning bond fund manager, giving it some top talent in an area it has previously not broached.

Scott Colbourne has joined the Toronto-based from TD Asset Management. He was named a senior portfolio manager at the firm.

Colbourne had been a senior member of TD’s fixed-income team and a member of its asset allocation committee. He joined TD from Cornerstone Capital Partners, and formerly worked at AGF Investments, which has since been acquired by Morningstar.
