Mudrick Capital Names Marketing Director

Mar 3 2010 | 10:38am ET

Distressed investing shop Mudrick Capital Management has hired Philipp Levy to lead the firms marketing and investor relations efforts.

While Levy is new to the firm’s roster, he isn’t new to working with Mudrick Capital.  Levy has been working as a consultant for the firm since its inception last year.

“Philipp has been an integral part of our business from the start and we are pleased that he has formally joined the Mudrick Capital team,” said Jason Mudrick, CEO of the eponymous firm. “He will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow and diversify our investor base globally.”

Prior to joining Mudrick Capital, Levy was the founder and managing partner at EastView Advisors, a New York based hedge fund consulting and marketing firm. Before founding EastView Advisors, he was head of marketing and investor relations at Laurus/Valens Capital Management. He has also worked at Paulson & Company and Bear Stearns & Co.
