Bank of America Merrill Lynch has added a D.E. Shaw Group energy trader to beef up its commodity trading and sales team.
Howard Levy will set up an Australian power-trading desk at BofA, Financial News reports. At D.E. Shaw, he was an oil and energy trader, based in Hong Kong.
Before joining the New York-based hedge fund, Levy was a trader for British Petroleum in Singapore and at Enron. He also worked at Duke Energy, in marketing and structured products. He joined D.E. Shaw in 2007.

"I tell people that everybody likes good news and so if you have good performance that’s wonderful,” explains Mike McKitish of Peddie School's endowment, “but it’s the people that want to talk about the bad news or where they drifted and how they came back and how they stayed to their discipline…” that he wants to hear from.
