Citi Closes $1.3B Private Equity Real Estate Fund

Citigroup Property Investors has closed its CPI Capital Partners Asia Pacific private equity real estate fund at US$1.29 billion.

The fund, which is managed by a Hong Kong-based team led by David Schaefer, head of Asia Pacific for CPI, has already invested or committed 40% of the raised capital. The fund will invest in real estate and real estate-related assets in the whole Asia-Pacific region, with a specific focus on China and India.
