Boston-based Ironsides Partners has launched an event-driven hedge fund.

The new vehicle debuted last month, HedgeFund.net reports. Little is known about the fund aside from that its prime broker is Goldman Sachs.

Ironsides was founded in 2007 by Millennium Management veteran Robert Knapp; in fact, it began life managing money for New York-based Millennium. Knapp is known as an asset value investing specialist, with a knack for sniffing out mispricing opportunities.
