Specialist credit hedge fund Castle Hill Asset Management has snared a GoldenTree Asset Management partner.

Castle Hill, which earlier this year announced a strategic partnership with Ignis Asset Management, has hired Tom O’Shea as a partner. O’Shea will move from London to Charlottesville, Va., to take up his new post.

“We are very fortunate that Tom has joined the team,” Castle Hill’s Brian Bassett said. “He brings with him a wealth of experience and industry knowledge that will be invaluable to us as we develop our U.S. platform.”

Castle Hill is based in both the U.S. and U.K. and manages about $2 billion.
