Zürich Pension Fund Manager Hit With Corruption Charges

The head of asset management at Swiss pension fund manager BVK has been arrested on allegations of misconduct and corruption.

The individual arrested was not identified, but Swiss prosecutors say it is the head of asset management at the firm, which runs the assets of Zürich’s civil servants’ pension fund.

It is unclear when the alleged misconduct occurred; Zürich’s financial department would say only that it deals with matters dating back several years, Investment & Pensions Europe reports. BVK said that none of its employees have been suspended.
