Jun 15 2010 | 1:13am ET

Future Capital Partners has added a former Babcock and Brown executive to serve as its new deputy CEO and to take the reins from its departing chief operating officer.

Tim West will oversee business development and distribution in his new post. He will also take over operations from Trevor Castledine, Future Capital’s outgoing COO.

“Tim’s appointment is a clear signal of our ambitions to continue to raise the bar and to move the business to the next level,” CEO Tim Levy said.

At Babcock and Brown, West headed the London office and was COO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining that firm, he was European COO at Barlcays Global Investors’ iShares exchange-traded fund business.
