Credit Suisse Merges Fund Of Funds, Single-Manager COO Posts

Jun 23 2010 | 1:22pm ET

A top Credit Suisse Group hedge fund executive is getting a little more on his plate.

Stephen Foster has been named chief operating officer of Credit Suisse Alternative Investments’ fund of hedge funds business, Alpha. He already holds that title for CSAI’s single-manager hedge funds.

“The consolidation of the COO function is in recognition of the similarities between the two businesses,” Foster said. “I’m looking forward to the challenges of developing both the fund of hedge funds and the single-manager businesses at Credit Suisse Alternative Investments.”

Foster, who has been with Credit Suisse for 17 years, three of them in asset management, will remain based in London.
