UBS Hands Hedge Fund Reins To Ferri

Jun 24 2010 | 7:17am ET

UBS has a new head of hedge funds, promoting from within to replace the outgoing Joe Scoby.

Bill Ferri has taken over as global head of alternative and quantitative investments, effective immediately, UBS Global Asset Management said. Ferri has served as deputy global head since last year—and served as interim global head during Scoby’s stint at UBS’ chief risk officer.

Scoby is retiring from UBS at the end of the month. He has been with the Swiss bank for more than two decades.
