Ex-Elliott Hong Kong Exec. Joins UBS Prime Brokerage

Former Elliott Associates executive Ben Horner has landed on his feat after the failure of his last firm.

Horner has been named an executive director at UBS’s Hong Kong prime brokerage sales team, covering hedge funds in the region, Asian Investor reports. He joins the firm after a short stint at Cranmore Capital Advisers, a Hong Kong-based hedge fund seeder founded last summer by former Morgan Stanley Asian prime brokerage chief Kurt Baker. But Cranmore never really got off the ground, and Baker has since founded a China-focused hedge fund, JT Capital.

Before joining Cranmore as chief operating officer, Horner was head of equity financing in Hong Kong for Elliott.
