Cazenove Capital Management is set to add a UBS salesman to its U.K. equity team, to co-manage two of its hedge funds.
John Warren will join the London-based firm in September, five months after Neil Pegrum, the former co-manager of the Cazenove Absolute U.K. Dynamic Fund and Cazenove U.K. Dynamic Absolute Return fund left for Soros Fund Management. He’ll work alongside Paul Marriage on those funds, as well as on the U.K. Smaller Companies Fund.
“John Warren’s small- to mid-cap experience will be invaluable in our stock selection,” Marriage said. “He has been a consistent idea generator on both the long and short side at UBS.”
At the Swiss bank, Warren was director of U.K. mid- and small-cap sales. He also formerly worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Investec Bank, Williams de Broe and HSBC.
