Ex-Treasury Secretary To Centerview

Aug 16 2010 | 7:27am ET

Former U.S. Treasury Secretary and Citigroup Chairman Robert Rubin is set to join private equity firm Centerview Partners.

Rubin will serve as a counselor at Centerview, Bloomberg News reports. The post is part-time, but apparently precludes Rubin from continuing as an advisor to hedge funds. Rubin plans to stop working with Taconic Capital Advisors and Farallon Capital Management.

Rubin served as Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton from 1995 until 1999.
