Citi Adds Commodity Hedge Fund Salesman

Citigroup has hired a BNP Paribas hedge fund salesman to head its own commodity hedge fund sales effort.

Christian Lusted has been named director of hedge fund sales on Citi’s London commodities team, Bloomberg News reports. He started at his new post on Aug. 17.

Before joining BNP Paribas in 2006, Lusted worked at Amalgamated Metal Trading.

Possibly to fill Lusted’s shoes, BNP Paribas has added BlueGold Capital Management’s Mads Hultgreen as head of commodity derivatives European hedge fund sales. BNP would not say whether Hultgreen was hired to succeed Lusted.
