Law Firm Sidley Austin Adds Alts. Expert

Law firm Sidley Austin has hired Alyssa Grikscheit as a partner in the Latin America and investment funds, advisers and derivatives practices.

Grikscheit will be based in the New York office and will focus on cross-border transactions and alternative investment funds.

Grikscheit has represented companies and private equity funds in the negotiation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and has represented sponsors in the formation of investment funds, particularly those involving cross-border investment or alternative assets.

“Alyssa brings considerable experience in cross-border transactions in emerging and developed markets and fund formation, particularly for funds involving international investments and alternative asset classes,” said Carlos Rodriguez, a partner in the firm’s Latin America practice and a member of the firm’s executive committee. “She will further expand our capabilities in Latin America in hedge and private equity fund formation.”

Sidley’s investment funds, advisers and derivatives practice consists of more than 120 lawyers in Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Singapore and Tokyo.
