PMA Founder Malik Resigns

The founder of Sparx Group’s Hong Kong subsidiary is leaving the firm.

Farhat Malik has resigned as chairman of PMA Investment Advisors, the firm said. Malik helped set up the firm more than eight years ago, and in a statement PMA called him a remarkable founder.

Malik is stepping down to spend more time with his family, the firm said.

Tokyo-based Sparx is Asia’s largest hedge fund firm.
