Chilton Boosts Europe Stock Team With Ex-Fido Hire

Chilton Investments has hired former Fidelity Investments money manager Frederic Gautier as it seeks to boost its presence in Europe.

Gautier, who managed some US$5 billion at Fido, joins from hedge fund Theorema Asset Management, where he was co-manager of its US$1.2 billion European stock fund. At Chilton, he’ll take over the US$100 million European equity long/short fund and will manage European investments for the firm’s other hedge funds.

Gautier left Theorema in March.
