Frontier Picks New Hedge Fund Manager

Frontier Capital Management has hired a new portfolio manager and senior analyst and promoted a partner to head its intermediary business.

The firm named Alex Gaitan to head its US$70 million Global Hedge Fund. Gaitan joins from Redi & Partners, where he was a senior analyst focusing on multi-strategy funds of hedge funds. At Frontier, he succeeds Richard Brazenor, who left the firm in June.

Frontier also hired Nahed Ennasr as a senior analyst. Ennasr is fresh out of business school.

In addition, the firm promoted partner Andrew Cracknell to head its intermediaries business. Cracknell has been with the firm for more than two years and was named a partner in 2008.
