Hedge fund seeder Context Capital Partners has invested in a new telecommunications, media and technology hedge fund.
The Bala Cynwyd, Pa.-based firm said that Betzwood Capital Partners’ Betzwood Partners fund has been added to its seeding platform and announced a strategic investment in the firm, founded last year by former Susquehanna International Group portfolio manager David Sung. Context will also provide operational support to Betzwood.
“David Sung is a seasoned market-neutral investor in the TMT space,” Context’s Ron Biscardi said. We believe the Betzwood Partners Fund is a compelling offering backed by a management team who has a demonstrated a solid record of low volatility and consistent performance in all market conditions.”
The size of Context’s investment in Betzwood was not disclosed. Context has about $300 million in assets under management.
