HFA Opens London Chapter

The main U.S. hedge fund lobby has gone transatlantic. The Hedge Fund Association has opened a chapter in London with plans for other chapters across the continent.

The new chapter will be led by Louise Verrill, head of law firm Brown Rudnick’s European bankruptcy and corporate restructuring group. It will be inaugurated with an event on distressed investing at Brown Rudnick’s London office on Oct. 5.

“Europe is one of the most dynamic regions in the alternative investment community, and it is vital that the Hedge Fund Association, a leading not-for-profit industry association for alternative investments in the U.S., has a strong presence here,” HFA President David Friedland said.
