Lionhart’s Vergara To Head Filipino Pension System

A Lionhart Investments hedge fund manager is returning home to the Phillipines to take over the country’s state-owned pension fund.

Robert Vergara is set to be named president of the Government Service Insurance System by Filipino President Benigno Aquino. Vergara has been an equity hedge fund manager at Lionhart’s Hong Kong office since 2002.

Before joining Lionhart, Vergara worked at hedge fund IFM Trading, Morgan Stanley and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
