BlueGold Capital Management has added a former Ospraie Management marketing chief to lead its own marketing effort.
Kara Hobbs started at the London-based energy hedge fund this month, Bloomberg News reports, succeeding Mads Hultgreen. Hultgreen left BlueGold for BNP Paribas, where he is now head of commodity derivatives hedge fund sales in Europe.
Hobbs was head of investor relations and marketing at Ospraie until the end of 2008. She also formerly worked at Tudor Investment Corp.
