Zurich Hires Horizon21’s Joei As Alternatives Chief

Zurich Financial Services has added hedge fund and private equity veteran Bernard Joei as head of alternative investments.

The position is new. Joei was also named CEO of Zurich Alternative Asset Management, where he will succeed the retiring David Wasserman.

Joei joins Zurich from Swiss private equity firm Horizon21, where he was chief investment officer. He is also a founder and former CEO of hedge fund Benten Capital.
