Hedge Fund Founder Moves To Cantor European Stock Team

Oct 5 2010 | 1:31pm ET

Former hedge fund manager Stephen Kendall has joined Cantor Fitzgerald to head its European equities team.

Kendall co-founded Cane Capital Management before joining Lehman Brothers, where he helped build its multi-strategy hedge fund platform. He stayed with Lehman after its acquisition by Nomura Holding, serving as head of the equity strategy group.

"Cantor Fitzgerald’s existing equities sales and trading platform, and the opportunity to expand our offering to clients here in the U.K. and throughout Europe, were extremely attractive and compelling factors in my joining the Cantor team," Kendall said. "I am excited to have the opportunity to be part of this franchise and to help drive our continuing growth in the European marketplace."
