AM Hires Portfolio Manager For Volatility Arbitrage Strategy

AM Investment Partners has hired Daniel Bystrom as a portfolio manager for its volatility arbitrage strategy. Prior to joining AM, Bystrom served as head of index listed flow trading at BNP Paribas and as director of index options/ETF trading at Merrill Lynch.

“His expertise in trading index options, subindices, ETFs and variance swaps is a solid complement to the skill set of the rest of the volatility arbitrage team,” stated Mark Friedman, AM’s co-founder. “I am certain that he will have an immediate and positive impact on that strategy and the firm as a whole.”

AM was founded in 2001 and oversees single strategy funds investing in convertible arbitrage, equity long/short, and volatility arbitrage.
