Toronto hedge fund East Coast Fund Management has added the founder of E*Trade Canada to its staff.

Colleen Moorehead has been named head of marketing and investor relations at the C$100 million firm, which debuted earlier this year. The firm was founded by former RBC Dominion Securities and TD Securities executive Michael MacBain and former Scotia Capital co-CEO John Schumacher.

Moorehead will be charged with spearheading the growth of the primarily fixed-income-focused hedge fund, the Globe and Mail reports.
