FINforums Unites Hedge Fund Industry Powerbrokers For Inaugural Event

Oct 25 2010 | 11:14am ET

FINforums, a cutting edge conference organizer that caters to the hedge fund industry, is holding its premier event, “Power, Politics and Hedge Funds” tomorrow evening at the W Hotel in New York.

Highlights of the event include a keynote by Fox Business Network correspondent Charles Gasparino on the “unholy alliance” between Wall Street and Washington, a one-on-one fireside chat between FINforums' John Seigenthaler and SkyBridge Capital's Anthony Scaramucci, and a roundtable discussion with industry experts focusing on financial regulation and its impact on hedge funds. The event will be followed by an elegant cocktail reception.

"While the asset management industry may seem far removed from the political world inside the beltway, what happens in Washington has a huge impact on it," said Deirdre Brennan, principal of FINforums and publisher of the leading news source for alternative investments, FINalternatives. "The inaugural FINforums event is an exciting opportunity to hear from hedge fund industry experts about how politics and financial regulations will shape the future of the money management industry."

“These conferences bring together leaders in the hedge fund world for a candid discussion of the issues that affect them,” added John Seigenthaler, principal of FINforums and CEO of Seigenthaler PR – NY. “We’ve created a unique forum for managers, investors and service providers to join the discussion and also explore new business development opportunities.”

FINforums will be hosting a number of other high-level hedge fund industry events throughout 2011 focused on timely and actionable topics. FINforums is a joint venture of FINalternatives, Hedge Funds PR and John Seigenthaler of Seigenthaler Public Relations.
