Hedge Fund Harmonic Hires Polar’s Smith As Head Of Sales

Long/short macro shop Harmonic Capital Partners has named a GAM and Man Group veteran its new head of sales.

Alastair Smith joins the hedge fund as a partner. He most recently worked at Polar Capital as sales director, and prior to that worked as head of sales at Aspect Capital. He has also done stints at GAM and Man.

“Alastair’s arrival is a significant development for Harmonic as we look to broaden our client base and deliver the best service possible to our investors,” Richard Conyers, founder of Harmonic, said. “Alastair comes with a wealth of experience and is well known and respected in the macro community.”
