Alpha One's Herrlin SocGen's First U.S. Equity Analyst

Hedge fund manager John Herrlin has joined Société General as the French bank launches its first coverage of U.S. stocks.

Herrlin was named head of U.S. energy equity research at Société General Corporate & Investment Banking. He will cover U.S. oil and gas and North American exploration and production companies from SocGen's New York office.

Herrlin joins SocGen from hedge fund Alpha One Capital Partners. He is also a former energy analyst at Merrill Lynch.
