Fund of hedge funds shop Mesirow Financial has been busy stockpiling talent this holiday season.

The firm has added Michael Clarke as head of real estate in Europe and Bruce McGuire as vice president of client relations in its hedge fund group. Clarke will head Mesirow's institutional real estate group from London, while McGuire will head hedge fund relationship management on the U.S. East Coast from New York. McGuire's post is new.

Clarke joins Mesirow from Indirect Real Estate Consulting, which he founded in June after leaving Schroder Property Investment Management. Clarke told Pensions & Investments that he has closed Indirect.

McGuire was a hedge fund specialist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
