Yorkville’s CFO Dons COO Hat

Apr 17 2007 | 10:34am ET

Yorkville Advisors has appointed Ed Schinik as COO in addition to his current responsibilities as the firm’s CFO. The firm, which serves as the investment manager to Cornell Capital Partners, has also promoted assistant controller Oren Franks to the position of controller.

"Ed Schinik is a key member of our team and one of the people who has been responsible for making the firms back office world class and institutional grade,” said Mark Angelo, Managing Member of Yorkville. “We are confident that the firm will gain even greater benefit from his experience and expertise in his new dual role as COO and CFO."

Shinik joined Yorkville Advisors as its CFO in December 2005. He previously served in the same capacity for Mellon HBV Alternative Strategies, where he had worked since February 1999.

Franks joined Yorkville in January 2006 from Ernst and Young, where he worked as a senior auditor within the financial service group specializing in hedge funds and private equity funds.
