Jan 13 2011 | 1:05pm ET

Quest Partners has added Noroton Capital Management co-founder Nigel Ekern as president.

Ekern, who worked as a lawyer before going into investment banking and then hedge funds, was named head of operations and business development at the commodity trading adviser. He was chief operating officer at Noroton, led by former Camulos Capital co-founder and Soros Fund Management veteran William Seibold.

“This is an exciting time for Quest given the addition of Nigel to the senior management team,” co-founder Nigol Koulajian said. “Nigel brings to Quest his broad experience and technical skills that deepen the senior management pool and we are very optimistic about the growth of Quest in the coming years.”
