Peter Lowden has joined Ascentia Capital Partners as the firm’s chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager. Lowden will manage the firm’s investment offerings, which include a global hedge fund and separately managed accounts.

Prior to joining Ascentia, Lowden worked for Schultz Financial Group and Jones Commodities, both based in Nevada.

Lowden joins Stephen McCarty and Robert Jorgensen, two of the founders and principals of the firm. “We were looking for someone with extensive portfolio management expertise in both traditional and alternative spaces, and Peter has both,” said McCarty.
