Barclays Wealth Hires FX Specialist

Barclays Wealth has appointed Michiel Remers as an investment specialist within the firm’s investment management team in London. Remers will advise clients on asset allocation and risk management and manage foreign exchange discretionary assets.

Remers joins Barclays from JPMorgan, where he was head of foreign exchange hedge fund sales. He has also worked in foreign exchange sales at UBS and CSFB, and as a currency strategist and fund manager at Paribas Asset Management.

Brian Cordischi, head of investment management, said, “Michiel brings extensive capital markets experience and core foreign exchange skills to Barclays Wealth. His experience in analyzing and managing assets in a cross-border context will bring additional strength to our investment management and advisory offering.”
