Russell Snags Dorchester's Spencer For Alts. Post

Russell Investments has hired a fund of hedge funds veteran to boost its institutional consulting group in the Americas.

Darren Spencer has assumed the new position of director of alternative investments in New York, Pensions & Investments reports. A Russell spokeswoman, Kate Stouffer, said the move was part of a multi-year plan to increase the firm's alternative investments capabilities.

Prior to joining Russell, Spencer worked at fund of funds Dorchester Capital Advisors.
