Feb 8 2011 | 12:05pm ET

US Bancorp has added a prime brokerage veteran to head its alternative investment business development.

Michael Secondo was named a senior vice president at US Bancorp Fund Services. He'll focus on the firm's administration and custody services, working from its New York office.

Most recently, Secondo was at ABN Amro as director and team leader at its Prime Fund Solutions prime brokerage business. He formerly worked at Citigroup, also in hedge fund administration and prime brokerage.

"We are excited Michael joined our growing sales team," Bob Kern, director of sales and marketing at US Bancorp Fund Services, said. "His depth of experience in hedge fund accounting, administration, custody and investor servicing complements our consultative support to our alternative investment management clients."
